Payroll Administrator Job

Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Department: Finance/Accounting

LOCATION: Charlotte, North Carolina

JOB SUMMARY: Perform duties and responsibilities to ensure that all associates are paid accurately and in a timely manner. This position is an entry level position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITES:

  • Daily processing
    • Answer phone calls and return messages when they come in
    • Research and explain payroll questions for associates that call or email with payroll issues
    • Receiving, opening and distributing mail
    • Make corrections to time records in Lawson payroll system based on store faxes and emails
    • Keep master list updated for approved Jury & Bereavement leave
  • Garnishments
    • Issue letters to employees with copies of the garnishment
    • Issue letters of receipt to applicable Court/Agency for terminated associates
    • Maintain a master list of garnishments received/closed
  • ADP iPay Website
    • Assist associates with registration on the website
    • Assist associates with resetting password and other issues
    • Assist associates with access to their year-end W2 and related questions

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting department personnel with boxing, recordkeeping and retention of department files
  • Complete BLS Quarterly reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

                EDUCATION: High school diploma

                WORK EXPERIENCE: 1 year of previous payroll experience

                CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION REQUIRED: None

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Strong phone customer service
  • Lawson experience preferred but not required
  • ADP iPay website experience is a plus
  • Basic Microsoft Office experience
